On the 5th of November, we will be launching our brand-new eLearning platform – Educator CPD Academy. This platform will provide our educators with an enhanced learning experience, while ensuring that by November, you can still access all the excellent online courses you currently enjoy.
We are working closely with our existing CPD platforms to migrate all courses and active learner data to the new platform. This transition will be completed in time for the Autumn Term. You won’t need to do anything; everything will happen in the background. By November, you’ll be able to log into an exciting new platform with an intuitive design, engaging learner content, and best-in-class online accessibility features.
In addition, we’ve compiled some FAQs below and will continue to update them throughout the transition. There's no need to worry; your learning isn't changing, but the way we deliver it is!
Why are we upgrading to a new eLearning platform?
eLearning and online training have evolved rapidly in the last few years, and we want to ensure that we always deliver the very best learning experience for our educators and clients. Our new eLearning platform will offer a modern, intuitive design, an improved learner experience, and enhanced tracking and reporting.
When will the new platform be ready?
The platform will go live on the 5th of November. We will continue to send regular updates and detailed timelines as the project progresses to keep you informed about the process and any actions you may need to take.
Will current learner data be automatically moved to the new platform?
Yes, for any learners active in the last 2 years, course completions and learner progress will be securely transferred. If you enrolled, started, or completed a course within the last 2 years, all learner records will be transferred. Please note that if you started a course from the 15th of July, it will be moved over as not started. If you enrolled prior to 2 years ago, you will still be able to view your learner records as long as you have been active within the last 2 years.
How will I access the platform?
You will receive detailed instructions and login credentials via email. The platform can be accessed through any modern web browser, and its improved mobile compatibility means you can also use it on your smartphone or tablet.
What are the key benefits?
The new platform features a sleek design, FREE courses, interactive modules, adaptive learning paths, and superior multimedia integration. These enhancements make learning more engaging and efficient, allowing for a more personalised and effective educational experience.
How will I log in for the first time?
On the 5th of November, you will receive an email with detailed login instructions, including your username. Once you log in for the first time, you will be prompted to set a new password.
How will the layout in the new eLearning platform differ?
The new platform offers an improved learner experience with a modern and intuitive interface, simple navigation, enhanced accessibility features, and clear progress tracking. We will provide guides and tutorials in the coming weeks to help you get familiar with the new layout and navigation. You can see some preview screenshots below.
Will I lose my progress once we switch?
If you enrolled, started, or completed your course within the last 2 years, all your learner records will be transferred. However, please note that any "Started" course will be reset to "Not started." If you enrolled over 2 years ago but have been active in the last 2 years, you will be able to download your certificates. All your historical records will be on the new system.
Will the courses be more interactive?
We will be moving all our current courses to the new eLearning platform, ensuring continuity and easy access for all our current learners. The new platform offers enhanced interactivity with features like interactive modules, quizzes, and multimedia content designed to make learning more engaging. We will be updating the course content in the coming months to maximise the enhanced interactivity the new platform offers.
Can I access the courses on my mobile device?
Absolutely! The platform is designed to be mobile-friendly, so you can access your courses on your smartphone or tablet with the same ease as on a desktop.
Will there be any downtime during the upgrade period?
We aim to make the upgrade as smooth as possible with minimal downtime. You will be informed in advance of any scheduled maintenance or downtime.
Will I still be able to access my old courses?
Yes, all your existing courses and materials will be migrated. You will have access to both your current and past courses, ensuring continuity in your learning process. Please note that if you have started a course on the old system it will be moved over as "Not started" on the new system.
Do I need to do anything now?
You can log into our current systems and download any certificates if you would like any of them for record, however completion details and certificates in the new format will be available on the new platform. Other than that, just look out for more updates from us on this exciting new Educator CPD Academy.
