Work as an Attendance Mentor
Help make every day of school count for all pupils.
Protocol Education is working with schools to help pupils and their families overcome barriers to learning and attendance through our Attendance Mentor Programme. We are looking for people to work with pupils in and outside of local schools to help them improve their attendance and attainment.
As a Protocol Education Attendance Mentor, you will be making a tangible difference in the lives of pupils and families. Your responsibilities will include:
Identifying, engaging, and mentoring pupils who are severely or persistently absent from school.
Providing mentoring support to pupils to build confidence in learning.
Encouraging and motivating pupils to get back into the classroom and improving attendance on an ongoing basis.
Working co-operatively with children's services, health agencies, and other community-based services, to provide the most effective service for children, young people, and families.
Supporting the school with other tasks as required
To work effectively, we will support you with a range of specialist training, including a one-day training course authored by our award-winning mental health and wellbeing partner Thrive, a range of highly relevant level 2 and 3 certificated courses via our partner company LMP Education, and our own CPD programme of exclusive educator events.
