Protocol Education is looking for a passionate Learning Support Assistant to work with children in SEN schools in Lambeth. We work with some outstanding settings and you would be supported by some wonderful people that support children with additional needs. Previous experience in this area would be preferred.
Job Duties:
- Provide one-on-one mentoring support to young individuals
- Assist in developing and implementing learning support strategies
- Manage and address challenging behaviours effectively
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in mentoring or youth support
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques
Education:
- Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
- Additional qualifications in mentoring or education are desirable
Experience:
- Previous experience working with young individuals
- Demonstrated success in providing learning support
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with young people
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Diploma in Youth Work Practise
- Certificate in Mentoring or Coaching
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday
- Work primarily in educational settings or community centres
- Occasional travel may be required within the South East region
