Year 5 Teacher – Maternity Cover
Location: Uxbridge
Start Date: After May Half Term

Our friendly and thriving primary school in Uxbridge is looking for an experienced and passionate Year 5 Teacher to join our team for maternity cover, starting after the May half term. Role Overview:
As a Year 5 teacher, you will take full responsibility for teaching and managing the class, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment. You will be expected to plan, assess, and track the progress of students while maintaining excellent communication with both parents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Year 5 pupils, planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Take full responsibility for classroom management and student behaviour
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress
  • Work collaboratively with the school leadership team and other teachers
  • Communicate effectively with parents and provide regular updates on student progress

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching Year 5 or year 6.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • A passion for teaching and supporting student development
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
