Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Year 5 Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching, committed to providing engaging and effective lessons, and able to create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum for Year 5.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student achievement and well-being.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in primary education, preferably in Year 5.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a collaborative approach to working.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
