Protocol Education is seeking a passionate and experienced Year 2 Primary Teacher to cover maternity leave at a wonderful primary school in Epping Forest. This is a full-time position, ideal for a teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality education and creating a positive learning environment for young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons aligned with the Year 2 curriculum.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued.
  • Prepare students for their end-of-year assessments, including KS1 SATs, ensuring they are confident and well-prepared.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and the leadership team to ensure the needs of all pupils are met.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding pupil progress and development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities.
  • Uphold the school's ethos and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2, with strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum and KS1 assessments.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to inspire and engage young learners.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
