Welfare Officer

You will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and supportive school environment. This is a long-term position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for addressing the welfare needs of our students

YOU would need:

  • Current Enhanced DBS
  • Current First Aid at Work or Paediatric First Aid Qualification
  • Excellent ICT 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide emotional support and guidance to students facing personal or academic challenges.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student welfare.

Monitor student attendance and proactively address any issues that may arise.

Work closely with parents and guardians to improve overall attendance rates.

Respond to behavioural concerns and implement appropriate interventions.

Collaborate with the school's behaviour management team to create a positive and respectful learning environment.

Address and manage crisis situations effectively, ensuring the well-being and safety of students.

Liaise with relevant authorities and support services when necessary

Work closely with teachers, staff, and external agencies to identify and address students' welfare needs.

Attend and contribute to welfare-related meetings and discussions.

Maintain accurate and confidential records of student welfare interventions.

Generate reports as required by school administration.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
