Protocol Education is seeking qualified and experienced Vocational Studies Teachers to work in pupil referral units and alternative provisions across Doncaster and Rotherham. This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people who require additional support and guidance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective vocational lessons to pupils who have been excluded from mainstream schools or are at risk of exclusion
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet the needs of each individual pupil, including those with special educational needs and disabilities
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assess pupil progress and provide regular feedback to pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external agencies
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in relevant fields
- Experience teaching vocational subjects at KS3 and KS4 level
- Experience working with pupils who have been excluded from mainstream schools or are at risk of exclusion
- Knowledge of the national curriculum and vocational qualifications
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
