Protocol Education is recruiting for candidates who are looking to adopt the role of teaching assistants in schools across Sunderland and surrounding areas (including South Tyneside).
We have a variety iof roles available for individuals who are looking to gain some experience in schools. This opportunity is the perfect way to take your first steps into a career in education
Many of our roles are full-time and long-term positions (for a year or beyond), this gives the candidate an opporunity to from a close relationship with the school and the students they support.
Part-time roles tend to be more daily work across different schools. This is a great way for those who are looking to begin their career in education to get some expereince in a variety of schools.
Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in the delivery and production of the lesson.
- Provide one-to-one support to students
- Manage behaviour in the classroom.
- Interact with students, staff and parents.
- Engage in classroom activities.
- Aid the educational and emotional development of students.
Requirements:
- The right to work in the UK.
- Has or is willing to obtain an enhanced DBS.
- Is a patient and approachable individual.
- Has positive communication skills.
- Has a passionate for student development.
- Ideally experience in a school setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
