Teaching Assistant (TA) for Post-16 Cohort

Position: Teaching Assistant (TA)
Working Days: Four days a week
Location: Lewisham

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work with a post-16 cohort. 

Essential Requirements:

  • In-depth Knowledge of SEMH: A strong understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, with several years of hands-on experience in the field.
  • Experience with Post-16 Students: Experience working with post-16 students, including those with additional educational needs.
  • KS5 Art/Media Support: Competence in supporting KS5 Art/Media pathways, as the role involves close collaboration with students in our Art and Media courses.
  • Behavior Management Skills: Effective behavior management skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students.

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

  • Art/Media Background: Qualifications or background in Art/Media to align with the needs of our KS5 curriculum.
  • Patient and Empathetic Approach: A patient and empathetic approach, focusing on supporting young adults' personal and academic development.
  • Transition Support Experience: Experience in assisting students with transitions to further education, training, or employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
