Protocol Education are looking for full time and part time SEND Teaching Assistants to work with primary aged students with additional needs.

 

Who are We?

Protocol Education are a Education agency supporting educators into work within schools across the country. The Sheffield branch covers South Yorkshire and surrounding areas, across primary, secondary and SEND. We can support you to find long term or short term work based on what you are looking for. 

 

The Role:

This role is working within primary aged SEND schools that cater to children with an education health care plan. The children you will be supporting will have a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health needs, and complex disabilities. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and educational activities
  • Assisting with planning and preparing teaching materials
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Assisting students with their learning, including reading, writing, and numeracy
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies and maintaining classroom discipline
  • Supervising students during break times and off-site activities
  • Supporting students with specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia
  • Assisting with the use of assistive technologies and adaptive equipment
  • Collaborating with other teaching staff and professionals to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Monitoring and recording student progress and reporting to the classroom teacher

What we need from you:

Whether you have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or are passionate about caring for others this could be the role for you. As an individual you will be outgoing and confident in your abilities to provide the best outcomes for your students.

It is desired (although not essential) that applicants are Team Teach trained or have the willingness to participate in the training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
