Job Duties:

The Teaching Assistant will support classroom teachers in providing a safe and stimulating educational environment for students. Duties include assisting with lesson planning, preparing materials, and providing one-on-one support to students. The Teaching Assistant will also help with classroom management, supervision of students, and supporting students with special educational needs.

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant qualification in education or teaching assistance

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Education:

A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths is required. Additional qualifications in education or teaching assistance are desirable.

Experience:

Prior experience working in an educational setting is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Knowledge of basic teaching principles and classroom management techniques

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask

- Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications:

- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

- First aid certification

Working Conditions:

The Teaching Assistant will work in a classroom setting within a school environment. The role may involve standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting of materials. The working hours will follow the school's schedule.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
