Salary: £16,300 - £20,000 per annum 
Start Date: September, 2024. 

About Us:
We are working with a primary school in Cambridge who is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all our pupils. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide one-on-one support to a pupil with autism.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with autism, assisting with their academic and social development.
- Implement individualised learning plans and strategies in coordination with the classroom teacher and SENCO.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere, ensuring the pupil feels safe and valued.
- Assist with daily classroom activities, helping the pupil to engage and participate fully.
- Monitor and report on the pupil’s progress, adapting support strategies as needed.

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs.
- Understanding of autism and strategies to support pupils on the spectrum.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and specialists.
