Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the classroom
  • Providin some students with personal care
  • Assisting the class teacher in creating a positive learning environment
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with individual education plans
  • Assisting with personal care tasks for students as required
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies effectively

Education:

Minimum Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualification or any other related field.

Experience:

Previous experience working with special needs students, particularly those with SEMH and ASD.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
  • Ability to provide personal care support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications in special education or related field

Working Conditions:

This role will primarily be based in a classroom setting within a school environment. Some tasks may require physical exertion and personal care assistance.
