Protocol Education are looking to recruit a large volume of Teaching assistants to be based within the schools in the Newcastle and North Tyneside area.

We work with schools in Jesmond, Gosforth, Fenham, Wallsend and Whitley bay.

We currently have a high demand from schools for teaching assistant staff in mainstream secondary schools.

We welcome people who have both professional or personal experience supporting children who are at key stage 3 and 4. We also welcome people who have been youth workers, student mentors. Protocol also recruits third year students and recent graduates from all areas who are interested in entering education but do not have the experience.

The role:

You will be working with secondary school students in either a classroom or one-to-one setting. You will be supporting their educational development through advancing their skills and aiding the completion of their class work.

Educators will interact with students who have learning difficulties and will therefore have to implement a variety of approaches to improving the students work.

This is a very rewarding role and can help those who do not have professional experience within this field begin their career in education.

Requirements:

  • Has or will obtain an enhanced DBS
  • Is passionate about educational and personal development
  • Has positive verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Professional or personal experience with SEND individuals.
  • Has a good understanding of mental health conditions and SEN.  
  • Is a patient and friendly person.
