Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Supporting classroom teachers in delivering lessons and educational activities
  • Assisting with student supervision and behaviour management
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Preparing and organising classroom materials and resources
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to student records and progress tracking

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Enhanced DBS check

Education:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

  • Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting
  • Experience supporting students with special educational needs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification
  • Training in specific areas such as autism awareness or behaviour management

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
  • Contract position with potential for extension
  • Classroom-based role with some outdoor activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
