About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and proactive individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or SEN Teaching Assistant. This exciting opportunity is within a mainstream primary school in Reigate, where you will provide vital support to children from Early Years to Key Stage 2. Working closely with teachers and other staff, you will help foster an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and delivering creative, engaging activities that support children’s development.
- Aid in the social, emotional, and academic growth of children, particularly those with SEN, including Behavioural and SEMH needs.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
- Observe, assess, and track the progress of individual children, maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for the children.
- Ensure that safeguarding and health & safety regulations are consistently followed.
- Support the preparation and organization of classroom materials and activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- A relevant qualification in Drama, Dance, Psychology, English, Sports Science, or similar.
- Previous experience in a school setting, youth clubs, or after-school clubs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, patient, and caring attitude towards children.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
