Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Assist teachers in the delivery of educational programmes and activities
  • Support students with their learning and development
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom materials

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team

Education:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Additional qualifications in Education or related field desirable

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
  • Experience supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of educational practises and principles
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Teaching Assistance
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Contract position with full-time hours
  • Work within a school setting in Croydon, Greater London
  • Schedule may include some after-school hours or weekend activities
