Job Duties:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering educational programmes
  • Assisting students with their learning activities
  • Supervising students in classrooms and during breaks
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with special needs
  • Helping to prepare teaching materials and resources

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team

Education:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young people

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of educational principles and practises
  • Ability to provide support to students with diverse needs
  • Basic IT skills for assisting in educational activities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school environment
  • Regular working hours with occasional flexibility required
  • May involve standing or walking for extended periods

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
