Job Description:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupil learning through the delivery of specific learning programmes, setting high expectations while encouraging their independence and building their confidence. Your responsibilities include mentoring students on a 1:1 basis, planning and leading booster and intervention sessions to tackle difficult topics. You will observe, record, and provide feedback on pupil performance, working closely with teachers to assist in behaviour management and support pupils in achieving their learning objectives.
You will promote inclusion by encouraging pupils to interact and work collaboratively. Additionally, you will adapt and develop resources for EAL (English as an Additional Language) and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) pupils, ensuring their safety and enabling them to access the curriculum. You will also assist in creating materials for curriculum delivery and display boards.
