Your Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, your main focus will be to provide support to students in the classroom. You will work closely with the class teacher to create a stimulating environment that encourages learning. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students during lessons to ensure they stay engaged and motivated.
  • Helping with the preparation and delivery of lessons, ensuring that all students are supported, especially those with additional learning needs (SEN).
  • Assisting students with their personal and academic development, helping them reach their full potential.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group interventions for students who need extra help.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Assisting with classroom activities, including marking and setting up resources.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A positive and proactive individual with a passion for education.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (desired but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working in the classroom.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards students.
  • An understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) is a plus, but not mandatory.
