Position: Mental Health Support Worker

Join our team as a Mental Health Support Worker, providing crucial support to children with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), complex learning disabilities, and those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide Support: Offer mental health support to children with SEMH needs in schools across Newcastle and North Tyneside. 
  • Individualised Care: Work with children with ASC, complex learning disabilities, and EHCPs.
  • Collaborate: Be part of a supportive local authority dedicated to tailored support for each child.
  • Inspire and Motivate: Challenge and support each student to achieve their best, regardless of their needs.
  • Create a Positive Environment: Use effective behaviour management techniques to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Support Growth: Assist students in their personal and academic development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
