About the Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant Role
As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering well-organised, engaging lessons tailored to meet students’ individual needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students, creating a safe and encouraging environment for learning.
- Help monitor student progress, offering extra assistance where needed to ensure all children can reach their potential.
- Collaborate effectively with classroom staff and contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a compassionate, creative individual with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- Have relevant experience or qualifications in supporting young children’s educational needs, particularly those who may have additional needs (such as Autism, ADHD, epilepsy).
- Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and a proactive approach to supporting the classroom team.
- Bring fresh, creative ideas to engage students and support their growth and progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
