About the Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant Role

As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering well-organised, engaging lessons tailored to meet students’ individual needs.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students, creating a safe and encouraging environment for learning.
  • Help monitor student progress, offering extra assistance where needed to ensure all children can reach their potential.
  • Collaborate effectively with classroom staff and contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a compassionate, creative individual with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Have relevant experience or qualifications in supporting young children’s educational needs, particularly those who may have additional needs (such as Autism, ADHD, epilepsy).
  • Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and a proactive approach to supporting the classroom team.
  • Bring fresh, creative ideas to engage students and support their growth and progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
