Job Duties:
- Supporting the teacher in delivering lessons and activities
- Assisting students with challenging behaviour in the classroom
- Providing individual support to students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour strategies
- Supporting students during break times and extracurricular activities
Experience:
Previous experience working with children or young people
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of challenging behaviour management techniques
- Understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience and empathy when working with students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- First Aid training
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position during school term times
- Working hours may vary, typically school hours (8:30-15:30)
