Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality education, working closely with teachers to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, and assist in the overall development and well-being of our pupils with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, reinforcing learning objectives and addressing individual needs.
- Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering tailored lessons and activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Support the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom management and organization.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies and resources for students with SEN.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student performance and progress.
- Work with external agencies and specialists as required to support students’ needs.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with a focus on SEN.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs in a primary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of effective support strategies for students with SEN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
