Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality education, working closely with teachers to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, and assist in the overall development and well-being of our pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons and activities tailored to the needs of Key Stage 2 students.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, reinforcing learning objectives and addressing individual needs.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with classroom management and organization.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies and resources.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student performance and progress.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience as a Learning Support Assistant.
  • Experience working with Key Stage 2 students in a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and effective support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
