We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school in Ealing. If you are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development and have a proven track record of working in a primary school setting, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class support to the teacher, assisting with lesson preparation, classroom management, and student engagement.
- Offer one-on-one and small group support to students, helping to bridge learning gaps and promote progress across the curriculum.
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with additional learning needs, ensuring personalized support is provided.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages children’s confidence, independence, and participation.
- Monitor and assess student progress, reporting feedback to the class teacher and contributing to overall student development plans.
- Support with playground supervision, behavior management, and other school activities as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting is essential.
- A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting different learning needs, with a commitment to inclusive education.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
