Role Overview

Protocol Education are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work closely with children who have severe learning difficulties. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing support, understanding triggers, and building a positive rapport with students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one support students with severe learning difficulties.
  • Identify and manage triggers, particularly in situations where the students may display violent behavior.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, supportive relationship with the students to create a conducive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, especially with students exhibiting challenging behavior.
  • Ability to identify and manage triggers for violent behavior.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with the student.
  • Commitment to the role until the end of the school year.

Qualifications

  • Relevant educational qualifications and/or experience in a related field.

Contract Details

  • Temporary position until the end of the school year.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
