Job Duties:

  • Supporting classroom teachers in delivering educational activities
  • Assisting students with special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) requirements
  • Providing one-on-one support to students as needed
  • Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Participating in team meetings and training sessions

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid safeguarding qualification
  • Degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in schools in the UK

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of special educational needs and SEMH
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in SEN or SEMH
  • Experience in supporting students with autism or other specific needs

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in various schools, primarily with primary-aged students with SEMH and SEND requirements. The position requires part-time hours with the possibility of covering daily absences.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
