Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the teacher to plan, develop, deliver, and assess the curriculum for students, making necessary adjustments to content as required.
- Design and execute tailored programmes for individual students or groups based on their developmental requirements.
- Assist in fostering social and interpersonal skills development, offering support for students' personal, social, and emotional needs.
- Contribute to setting and monitoring individual student targets, regularly reviewing progress.
- Provide support to students as part of planned inclusion initiatives and during transitions to other educational settings.
- Cultivate positive relationships with students and colleagues to facilitate student progress and achievement.
- Regularly monitor and document student progress, preparing reports when necessary.
- Support students in classroom management and behaviour supervision.
- Carry out administrative tasks within the classroom, including maintaining records.
- Contribute ideas, resources, and learning strategies for lessons.
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and external agencies as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of Level 3 Teaching Assistant Course
Education:
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development
Experience:
- Previous experience working in an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Sound understanding of child development and educational principles
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and fellow staff members
⭐ Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in special education or child psychology
Working Conditions:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
