Job Duties:

  • Supporting the teacher in delivering lessons and activities
  • Assisting students with challenging behaviour in the classroom
  • Providing individual support to students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • Supporting students during break times and extracurricular activities

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young people

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of challenging behaviour management techniques
  • Understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid training
