Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Student Assistance: Provide individualized or small group support to help students with their learning and development.
  • Behavior Management: Help maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.
  • Resource Preparation: Aid in the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources.
  • Supervision: Oversee students during non-instructional times, such as lunch breaks and playground activities.
  • Developmental Support: Encourage the social and emotional growth of students.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure all students receive the support they need.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress and activities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commitment: Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education or childcare.
  • Special Needs Experience: Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • First Aid: Certification in first aid is advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
