Job Duties:
- Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and assisting with the preparation of teaching materials
- Working with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to provide additional support
- Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs
- Helping to create a positive learning environment and promoting good behaviour among students
- Supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), moderate learning difficulties (MLD), and autism spectrum condition (ASC)
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working with children or young people in an educational setting preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and the ability to support students effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications in special educational needs or relevant field
Working Conditions:
This role may involve working with students who have challenging behaviour or specific needs. The teaching assistant will work in a classroom environment, following the school's policies and procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
