We are working in partnership with a secondary school based in Newham who are seeking to appoint a Full time Teaching Assistant to join them after the Easter break. This is an Ofsted rated 'Good' co-ed secondary school school with onsite staff parking, and excellent transport links.  They challenge their students to work hard, and to excel in every area that they can and are looking for staff members to promote this ethos.

About the role:

Your role as a Teaching Assistant will be to support students throughout the day in order to help develop their learning ability, social communication, cooperation and skills.  You will provide a wide range of support such as planning (under the guidance of teachers/specialists), resource, deliver, monitor and review progress for children. De-escalating situations within the classroom in the right way & collecting work at the end of the lesson and returning to the teacher.

About you:

  • Experience working with young people in any aspect such as; Social Work, Youth Work, Sports Coaching etc
  • Passion for Teaching & learning and encouraging students to achieve the best of their ability
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and reading comprehension.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
