Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Spanish language lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing feedback for improvement
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching materials
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the Spanish language and culture
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Proficient in using technology in the classroom

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following the academic calendar. Full-time hours are expected, with occasional involvement in extracurricular activities and events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
