Job Duties:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in Social Science (Sociology) to students
  • Assessing student progress and providing feedback
  • Developing and implementing curriculum plans
  • Supervising student activities and maintaining discipline in the classroom
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the educational experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Sociology or related field

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Sociology or related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching Social Science (Sociology) preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Social Science concepts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience in curriculum development

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following the academic calendar and timetable. The teacher will be required to work full-time hours during term time.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
