Job Duties:
The Teacher of Science will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering engaging science lessons to students. They will create a stimulating learning environment, assess student progress, and provide feedback to support their development. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and parent-teacher conferences.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
- Experience teaching science subjects at the secondary school level
Education:
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Science
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Education or a science-related field
- Experience implementing innovative teaching methods and technologies
Working Conditions:
- Temporary position with the possibility of extension
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- Classroom-based teaching with additional responsibilities such as lesson planning and student assessment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
