Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons to students
  • Create a supportive learning environment for students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience

 

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in Mathematics or Education
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Prior experience teaching mathematics at the secondary school level

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the national curriculum for mathematics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective classroom management abilities

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) specialising in Mathematics

 

Working Conditions:

The Mathematics Teacher will work in a school setting following the academic calendar. They may also be required to participate in extracurricular activities and attend staff meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
