Job Title: Part-Time Girls' Physical Education Teacher

Redcar, North Yorkshire, Yorkshire and the Humber

Job Type:

Alternate weeks: Monday-Thursday/ Tuesday-Friday (4 days per week)

£140 - £230 per day

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality physical education lessons to female students
  • Instruct Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE PE, and practical PE
  • Create and implement engaging and diverse lesson plans
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback
  • Manage and supervise extracurricular sports activities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialisation in Physical Education

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching Physical Education to secondary school students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with the national curriculum for Physical Education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Motivational skills to engage students
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Physical Education
  • Experience coaching sports teams

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following the academic calendar, and may require participation in after-hours school events and meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
