Teacher of Geography

Protocol Education are working alongside a 'Good' Ofsted rated school in Wiltshire, and are supporting with the appointment appointment of a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Geography.

Contract type: Mat cover - GUARANTEED WHOLE ACADEMIC YEAR

Hours - Both full and part time applicants considered

Pay scale - MPS

The successful applicant will have the exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic Humanities team who are fully committed to ensuring all staff and students fulfil their potential and continue to enjoy success. The school have spent a lot of time and effort over the past few years developing our curriculum and have a high number of students who continue to take the subject through to KS5. The department offer a range of enrichment opportunities for students and the successful candidate will work alongside two other Geography teachers. The school has a successful ECT support programme and the candidate will be expected to teach some periods outside of Geography.

A community school which occupies purpose-built premises. The school has outstanding behaviour and is high achieving in results and performances. There is strong leadership who provide CPD opportunities for staff.

Commutable from Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Wiltshire and wider areas. 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an inspirational and passionate Geography teacher.
  • Be a professional who is able to work in partnership with parents and other stakeholders.
  • Be passionate about raising attainment in a classroom environment with students of all abilities.
  • Be able to show evidence of continually improving the teaching and learning of their subject through schemes of work and extra-curricular activities.

The school are advertising for the role to begin in September 2025, HOWEVER, this could be bought forward for the right application. We also work with all Secondary Schools in the Wiltshire/Swindon/Bath/Bristol area, so there is never a shortage of work to fill the gap between now and September 2025 if you cannot start until then, so please do still apply.
