An exciting opportunity has emerged to appoint a dynamic and suitably qualified teacher of English / Media Studies with a genuine passion for the subjects and the capability to teach across all key stages. This role is open to inspiring, challenging, and stimulating teachers, whether newly qualified or experienced. The ideal candidate should hold a good degree in English or a related discipline, and while the ability or willingness to teach A Level English Literature is desirable, it is not essential.
The English Department at Vyners boasts consistent strength, with GCSE results consistently exceeding the national average. In 2023, 84% of students achieved a 9 - 4 grade in Language, and 82% in Literature, with 23% achieving grades 9-7 in Language and 28% in Literature. A growing number of students progress to study English Literature at A Level, with a remarkable 100% achieving A* - B in 2023, and 40% achieving A*-A.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
