We're thrilled to announce a captivating opportunity for a dynamic, suitably qualified teacher of English/Media Studies, deeply passionate about the subjects and adept at teaching across all key stages, inspiring and challenging students alike. This position warmly welcomes both early-career enthusiasts and seasoned educators with a strong degree in English or a related field. While not mandatory, a penchant or readiness to teach A Level English Literature is advantageous. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are offered a three-week induction program in July to acquaint themselves with our school culture.
Our English Department shines brightly, consistently achieving GCSE results well above the national average. In 2023, an impressive 84% of students secured grades 9-4 in Language and 82% in Literature, with notable percentages achieving grades 9-7. Furthermore, an increasing number of students pursue English Literature at A Level, boasting exceptional outcomes, with 100% achieving A*-B and 40% attaining A*-A grades in 2023.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
