Are you passionate about English language and literature? We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teacher of English. This is a one-year fixed-term maternity cover post.

At this successful school, they  have carefully designed our curriculum maps to ensure comprehensive development of knowledge and skills for students in Years 7-11. As a Teacher of English, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging lessons that align with our curriculum design.

The students follow the AQA Specification for GCSE English Literature and English Language. Your expertise in these areas will be instrumental in preparing students for their examinations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Design and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students in their understanding and appreciation of English language and literature.

Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to develop their skills and reach their full potential.

Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their growth.

Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the continuous improvement of our English curriculum.

Engage students in literary analysis, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
