Job Title: Teacher of Design & Technology

Location: North East England, County Durham, Darlington

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £150 - £250 Per day depending on qualifications and experience

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Design & Technology to students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and teaching methods
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Design & Technology or related field
  • Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Design & Technology or relevant subject
  • Proven experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary school setting
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development and educational technology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or relevant field
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Additional subject specialisms in related fields

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
