Job Title: Teacher of Design & Technology

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons to students
  • Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback
  • Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Communicate with parents, colleagues and other stakeholders regarding student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Design & Technology or related field
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum

Education:

Degree in Design & Technology or related field

Experience:

Prior experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Design & Technology concepts
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience with using technology in the classroom

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following the school calendar and timetable. It may require occasional extra hours for planning and assessment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
