Job Title: Teacher of Art

Location:

Yorkshire and the Humber, specifically North Yorkshire and Middlesbrough.

Job Type:

This is a Supply position with an expectation to work full-time hours.

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging art lessons to students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Evaluate and grade students' artwork, providing constructive feedback.
  • Develop and implement art curriculum aligned with educational standards.
  • Organise and supervise art projects and exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall art programme.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable but those with extensive experience teaching Art will also be considered
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field.

Experience:

Prior experience teaching art to students at the relevant level is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of art history, techniques, and mediums.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Proficiency in using art-related software and tools.
  • Organisational and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Art Education or related field.
  • Experience with organising art events and extracurricular activities.

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a school setting, collaborating with colleagues, and interacting with students and parents. Occasional participation in evening events or meetings may be required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
