Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Supply Teacher to join our team in Wandsworth. As a Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students across various subjects and age groups. Your primary role will involve covering for absent teachers, delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining a positive learning environment, and ensuring the academic progress of students.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Assess and record students' progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity in student learning
  • Follow school policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Previous experience in teaching or working with students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
  • Organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Additional subject-specific qualifications

Working Conditions:

Work in a school environment with regular school hours, following the academic calendar. May require travel to different schools within the area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
