Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Follow the curriculum and lesson plans provided by the school
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and parents

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Prior experience in teaching or working with children

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of educational principles and practises
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
  • Organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience working as a supply teacher

Working Conditions:

  • Work in various schools within the designated area
  • Full-time hours with possible early mornings and occasional overtime
  • Interact with diverse groups of students and school staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
