Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons to students in the absence of their regular teacher
  • Follow the school's curriculum and lesson plans
  • Maintain a positive and safe learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students are on task
  • Provide feedback to regular teachers on student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching environments

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Prior experience as a teacher or supply teacher is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in specific subject areas
  • Training in safeguarding and child protection

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours typically follow the school day schedule
  • May be required to travel to different schools within the region

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
