About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate, adaptable, and dedicated Supply Teacher to join our team at a specialist SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) school. As a Supply Teacher, you will provide high-quality teaching and support to students with a range of special needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, physical disabilities, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.

This role offers flexibility and variety, making it ideal for teachers who are passionate about working with SEND students.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEND.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to provide holistic care and education.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to ensure accessibility for all students.
  • Follow school policies on safeguarding, behaviour management, and individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Build strong relationships with students to encourage progress in both academic and personal development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with SEND in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
